Integrated Photovoltaics - Surfaces for the Energy Transition

Integrated photovoltaics fits into the shell of buildings, traffic routes and vehicles - the solar cells are usually no longer visible from the outside.

Agrivoltaics also belongs to the field of integrated photovoltaics. In the case of agrivoltaics, land is shared with agriculture. Likewise, water surfaces in flooded opencast mines can be covered with floating photovoltaics.

Research for the Energy Transition

The Fraunhofer Institute for Solar Energy Systems ISE creates the technical conditions for an efficient and environmentally friendly energy supply, both in industrialized countries and in emerging and developing countries.
